We believe that media has the power to shape our perceptions, beliefs, and actions. Unfortunately, over the years, we’ve seen many media outlets use their platforms to shame, control, and divide–which is why we’ve created a space where readers can feel empowered, inspired, important, and significant (because they are). It’s our deepest desire to see you live your most joyful, healthy, purposeful, and empowered life.

Though our original purpose was to simply share our love for fashion (hence our name), we also desire to be a trusted source of good and accurate news. We desire to expose injustices within culture, and through spreading awareness, help to be a solution to the problems.

It’s our desire to help you find confidence through fashion, discover a truly healthy life through education and health news, feel empowered and seen by sharing inspiring stories and celebrating “ordinary” people (as opposed to “celebrity culture”), and connect you with trustworthy brands that actually value YOU over money.

In simple terms: You’re safe with us. You can trust us. You’re seen and valued by us. We’re here for you, and we celebrate YOU!

a word from our founder

Alexan Ashcraft

Just like the majority of us, I’ve struggled with body image and self-worth. An endless battle for my health only intensified these feelings for me. Five years of constant pain, heartbreak, loss, and disappointment left me paralyzed with anxiety, insecurity, depression, hopelessness, and with no will to live. But these struggles have only opened my eyes to the world around me and all who might be silently struggling as well. I know what it’s like to feel insignificant. I know what it’s like to feel failed by the healthcare system and the food industry. I know what it’s like to feel taken advantage of by greedy businesses and industries. And I know how it feels to be captive to the standards of society.

There’s a quote that goes, “be the woman you needed as a little girl.” I want to be not just the woman I needed as a little girl, it’s my desire to create the space that I needed, as well as many others. A trustworthy, empowering, and safe community. All my life, magazines that glorified celebrities, fame, and riches fueled the lie that my life was meaningless and insignificant as well as poor self-worth and low self-esteem. Feelings that had followed me around my whole life. Who wants to feel that way?

The truth is: we are all significant. YOU are significant and worthy of being celebrated. With this “magazine”, I wanted to create the space where the “ordinary” people could feel empowered, valued, hopeful, and reminded of their utmost importance. It is my ultimate goal to leave every reader feeling seen, accepted, and encouraged. And hopefully, as a result, I can do my part in making this world a little brighter, for you, and for future generations to come.

This is for the outcasts. For the lonely. The brokenhearted. For the “ordinary.” For the hurting. For the sick, for the discouraged, and the ones feeling beaten down by life. This is for you.
